-- No restrictions for Oral Sedation and Hypnosis -- Ages between 5 and 55 years old for G.A / I.V. sedation. The upper age limit may be extended after consultation. -- In good general health with NO medical problems. -- Please restrict dental operating time to a maximum of 2.5 hours.
Steps
-- On making appointment for work under anaesthesia please: -- Give patient Pre Operative and Post Operative instructions and ensure that they understand them. -- Give patient Pre Operative questionnaire. -- Instruct patient to obtain 2 EMLA anaesthetic patches from a pharmacy and place on the back of each hand over a vein 2 hours prior to the appointment. -- Tell patient to expect a phone call from me regarding their anaesthetic. -- Give patient estimate of anaesthetic fee. -- Call my office to confirm appointment and to give me the patients name, age and phone number.
